IT Consultant

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborated with the IT team to facilitate the smooth transition to new ERP (Sage X3) and POS (Elite POS) systems

  • Assisted with daily IT tasks, including patch fixes to the current system (iVend), database fixes (Microsoft SQL Server), and server administration.

  • Conducted onboarding and training for new team members.

  • Coordinated the infrastructure move to the new Head Office site in Parow

  • Successfully facilitated the integration of our current product list and Merchandise Hierarchy into the Sage X3 system



System Support Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Managed IT administration, monitoring, and maintenance of company software and systems, including iVend, Filemaker, SQL Servers, and Office O365

  • Led the implementation of new systems and processes, optimizing Warehouse to Store stock distribution and online fulfillment processes

  • Acted as the project lead for the Sage X3 ERP and Elite POS migration, liaising with consultants and improving business processes

  • Conducted end-user training sessions and prepared technical documentation for staff

  • Successfully managed the IT Helpdesk (Freshdesk) providing technical support to Head Office, Warehouses, Factory and 50+ Stores

  • Successfully implemented a new POS software solution (iVend/Citixsys) and administered the POS system and SQL databases

  • Provided end-user training and support for iVend and created all end user documentation

  • Identified and implemented new business processes to improve efficiency

  • Managed stock takes for over 30 sites

  • Efficiently implemented the Merchandise Hierarchy and product coding for the iVend system including product loading and imports for all new items
